Tuesday 14th July 2026
10am – 2pm
We’re hosting a dedicated accessible parking open day to provide a better experience for blue badge holders who may benefit from closer parking and reduced walking distance.
On this day, we’ll have adapted parking arrangements and reduced traffic flow to help everyone enjoy the farm at their own pace. Please note that, as a working farm set in a natural valley, the site includes uneven and sloping ground that may not be suitable for all wheelchairs or mobility needs.
The layout of our site with limited room for vehicle movements means that, when operating accessible parking and general parking at the same time, we are only able to safely offer very limited accessible parking and cannot guarantee spaces. By introducing a dedicated date to prioritise accessible parking provision, we are able to ensure there is plenty of space and – crucially – that is is located as close as possible to the lavender fields.
Our general open days remain available as usual, but do not include these adapted parking arrangements.
FAQs
Why is the Accessible Parking Day held on a separate date?
The parking area that is closest to the lavender fields is not accessible when the tractor and trailer is running due to space and safety requirements. Running a dedicated day allows us to open up this nearer parking area with plenty of space to accommodate visitors and operate traffic systems safely.
Can I visit on a regular open day if I have a Blue Badge?
You’re welcome to attend any of our open days. However, accessible parking on regular open days is extremely limited and not guaranteed. The parking on this dedicated Accessible Parking Open Day is also nearer to the fields with a less severe slope and shorter walking route.
Is the farm fully accessible?
As a working farm in a natural valley, the ground is uneven and includes slopes. Some areas may be challenging for wheelchairs or certain mobility needs. We encourage all visitors to consider their individual needs when planning a visit and to contact us if further information is needed.
Who is the Accessible Parking Open Day for?
This day is designed for Blue Badge holders who would benefit from closer parking and an easier access route.
Do I need to book?
Yes, you can book tickets for our Accessible Parking Day HERE.
Will there be additional support on the day?
Staff will be on hand to guide parking. Entry is free for carers accompanying a person they are supporting.
Why can’t the same arrangements be available every day?
Space and safety constraints mean we’re unable to run both general and accessible parking at the same time (except with very limited capacity). By offering a dedicated day, we can make sure the arrangements are set up properly and safely and can ensure that there is enough space for all Blue Badge vehicles.
What if I’m unsure whether the site will be suitable for me?
We’re happy to help. Please contact us ahead of your visit and we can talk you through the layout and conditions so you can make an informed decision.
