Inspiring children to connect with nature
Bring learning to life with a FREE educational visit to Lordington Farm.
From Easter through to September, pupils can explore working farmland, discover wildlife habitats and learn where food comes from through hands-on outdoor experiences in the heart of the South Downs.
Lordington Lavender is the perfect place to encourage children to connect with nature. We offer FREE guided visits for primary school pupils that incorporate a farm tour, lavender walk and even honey tasting! Our friendly and experienced staff encourage the children to explore the world around them with all their senses, learning about where some of our food comes from as well as becoming experts on growing lavender and spotting bees!

Did you know? Home School groups are very welcome to enjoy our educational visits, too!

When the lavender is not in bloom, there is still plenty to discover. Explore our wildflower meadows, woodland and arable fields while learning about food production, wildlife habitats and the importance of caring for the natural environment. Every visit is designed to help children connect with nature through hands-on experiences and outdoor learning.
We also welcome school art and photography groups, with guided tours of the farm’s beautiful and varied landscapes. From rolling South Downs views and woodland walks to wildflower meadows and seasonal colour, there is plenty to inspire creative exploration.

Why Plan A Farm Visit?
A visit to our farm provides an exciting opportunity to see first-hand how food is grown as well as showing how farmers manage their land sustainably to encourage wildlife and protect the environment.
